The most puffed up cellphone on the shelves at the moment is the Apple’s iPhone. A few days back, an anonymous bidder pledged a sum of $100,000 for an iPhone at a charity auction. Originally priced at $499 for the 4GB version and $599 for the 8GB versions, you thought it is quite expensive. But, you will be surprised to know that an iPhone case from the house of Louis Vuitton is about twice the price of the actual iPhone. The set of four cases include Monogram Canvas, Taiga Leather, Epi Leather and Alligator Skin. While the Monogram Canvas case can be had for a mere $225, the Alligator Skin case will set you back $1120. Hmm…lavish possessions need to be placed in luxurious casings. Man-made No Man Land’s Fort Up for Grab!

Owning an island retreat is one of the most popular lifestyle-trend in the posh playgrounds of the billionaires. If you are interested, a Victorian-era sea fort is up for sale in Britain for a whopping US $8.1 million. I am talking about the No Man Land’s fort, which is situated 1 mile off the coast of Portsmouth. Originally built with a purpose to house 80 sailors to ward off an attack from the French navy, it is currently being served as a luxury hotel equipped with 21 lavish themed rooms, two helipads and heated indoor swimming pool.
The fort is up for sale owing to owner’s financial troubles. Built between 1861 and 1880, the fort has been crafted largely of granite and is 200 feet long and rises 60 feet from the sea. The fort has got its own electricity generators and a borehole sunk into the seabed takes care of the water supply. Alas! This is a game of uber-rich only.

Netsurfer Claimed to Be the World’s Most Comfy PC Chair

Working long hours in front of your computer wants you to be extra cautious about your body posture to avoid any strain. Earlier, I thought the Aeron’s Ultimate Self-Adjusting Office Chair concept was the best solution but this new Netsurfer PC chair from Snowcrash asks me to give a second thought. Promoted as the world’s most comfy chair, the Netsurfer throws the run-of-the-mill combination of chair and desk to a side. The chair touts a semi-reclining position with the screen at eye level that makes it comfortable for long periods. Other than that, it comes with pillows to support the neck and lower back, in case you feel like taking a nap. I know it won’t be as comfy as the cocoon-like Energypod for powernapping at work but still, it’s a far better option than the traditional PC chairs. The adjustable arm and footrests of the chair take proper care of your arms and legs. And yes, it won’t spoil décor of your room. The $4,300 tag looks to be bit pricey but prevention is certainly better than cure.

Go Retro in Modish Style with Phonophone IPod Dock

The picture might make you think that we are going to talk about some blast from the past. If yes, you are mistaken as this gramophone look-a-like is a modern iPod dock in actual. Dubbed Phonophone, this dock throws out sound at 55 decibels directly from your iPod and that too without using any external power. The Phonofone makes use of the ceramic horn acoustics to boost the audio output of standard earphones to up to 55 decibels. Although it pumps out sound as loud as a set of laptop speakers but the idea is pretty cool. Isn’t it? But, does that compensate for its $830 price tag?
