Apple’s IPhone is Here!

Yes, I know, I am late with this piece of news. But, then it was a hard one to miss. So, here goes my brief take on the most awaited phone of the year. Apple’s iPhone was released by Steve Jobs, yesterday at Macworld. And, it won’t be any exaggeration to say that, the hype has just turned real and it has successfully captivated everyone’s attention with its slim looks and powerful spec list. The iPhone is just 11.6 millimeters thick and it features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, 2 megapixel camear, 4GB and 8 GB of storage, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFi, GSM radio with EDGE and a slew of other features. And, when it’s from Apple, it has got iPod cababilities with touch controls and sync with iTunes. The iPhone is compatible with Mac OS X with support for widgets, Google Maps, Mail, Safari, Google search, Yahoo! Search. This Cingular exclusive phone will start shipping to US in June, 2007, Europe in 4th Quarter, 2007, and Asia in 2008 for a price of $499 for the 4GB version, or $599 for the 8GB version. But, just one question…why it’s not a 3G!

James Bond to Drive Jaguar XF in Bond22


With news-circles going abuzz, that Ford is likely to sell Aston Martin to another company in the coming months, Aston Martin won’t be James Bond ride anymore. According to a report by Bond fansite MI6, James Bond will be seen driving the Jaguar XF in the next 007 feature film. The Jaguar XF is a forthcoming version of Jaguar’s new C-XF concept car. Ford previewed the car with the C-XF concept this week in Detroit and the XF concept is expected to hit the showrooms sometime in 2008.

Microsoft Unveils EToilet For Geeks

For geeks who can’t even stand a few minutes in toilet without an internet connection, Microsoft chairman Bill Gates has unveiled eToilet to help capitalize on that time. eToilet includes a 21-inch flat-screen monitor built into the toilet lid itself that swings out on a swivel arm when in use. The touch-activated eToilet protects the screen from spray during use or flushing with its built-in proximity sensor. eToilet not just lets you surf the web but it also plays music from Zune, and monitors personal hygiene by shutting-down the lid automatically, when left open, so that, you don’t have to hear a lecture on Toilet-manners from your wife again! And, that’s not it, there are many other features including built-in thermostat, a delay mechanism to prevent flushing while someone is in the shower and a few more. And, last but not the least; Microsoft has integrated their eLoo technology in the eToilet that allows for the activation of remote call features. The eToilet is expected to retail for a price between $499 and $599, from probably, next month.

MSI Offers More “Bling” In Its Crystal Laptop

Back in November, we told you about MSI’s M677 Crystal laptop, which feature a shining ring of Austrian crystals on the notebook’s lid. But, if you were not content with the swarovski ring just on the lid, then the company’s recently launched notebooks from the crystal line takes the bling inside too, with Swarovski crystals on the top and around the touchpad. All the specs remaining the same, including AMD Turion 64 X2 processor, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, 5400rpm hard drive and a DVD burner. The Crystal collection features models with 15.4″ AMD and 13.3″ Intel displays. The pricing and availability is yet not disclosed.


Million Dollar Jewelry PC ‘Baroque’

A few minutes back, we told you about the swarovski-encrusted MSI crystal laptop, but if you are wealthy as Trump, then you deserve diamonds then swarovski! And, we have just that for you, a million dollar PC from Baroque! Moneual Lab has presented its million-dollar jewelry pc called ‘Baroque’ at CES 2007.

The ultra-blinged PC is designed by jewelry designer Buckingham and is adorned with diamonds and sapphires and is made in 18K yellow gold and 18K white gold. Takagi’s Hi-Tech Toilet Seat

We have earlier told you about Toto’s automated toilet seat that even features a built-in MP3 player to entertain you while you perform your daily routine. Now, Takagi, another Japanese company, has introduced a “Fresh Seat” toilet seat at CES 2007 which features a built-in air dryer, a water massage feature, temperature settings for water and the seat, auto shut-off, temperature sensor, and thermal fuse. The seat is also equipped with a remote control.

World’s Most Expensive Mouse

If you can afford to buy a diamond-studded PC, then the next on your list should be the world’s most expensive mouse from Fabstuff that features 59 brilliant-cut diamonds in two unique designs, one with “floral design” and the other with “scattered diamonds.” The diamond-encrusted, three button optical wheel mouse is available in black or white trim and is compatible with MAC or PC. The diamond mouse sells for $24,180 and you can even get it personalized with diamond initials.

But, that’s not it. They have got a gold version too available in yellow, red or white gold with white or black trim. Apparently, the Swiss manufacturer has designed diamond version for a 60th wedding anniversary and the gold version for a 50th wedding anniversary. But, personally, I feel these blingy mouse would make a nice Valentine’s gift instead of wedding anniversaries!


Dell’s World of Warcraft Laptops Goes on EBay

Besides, the 27-inch monitor and Dell’s first rugged notebook, Dell also unveiled a unique creation of the World of Warcraft edition of its XPS M1710 laptops at CES designed by the renowned artist, Mike Lavalle. Dell has now put up those special edition gamer’s notebook for eBay auction. The custom-painted XPS M1710 Burning Crusade Edition features Lavalle’s airbrushed re-creation of original composition from the new World of Warcraft expansion and both of these special editions are signed by company’s founder and Chairman, Michael Dell and Rob Pardo. The two special Dell XPS M1710 laptops are currently up for a price of $5,100 and $4,300, respectively and the proceeds will be benefiting America’s Second Harvest.

Breitling Emergency Chronograph with Distress Transmitter

Breitling, the renowned mechanical watchmaker has yet again come up with a chronograph meant for aviation professionals. Breitling’s Emergency 43mm Chronograph with Distress Transmitter features a built-in microtransmitter broadcasting on the 121.5 MHz aircraft emergency frequency. In cases of a crash or a forced landing, the Emergency will broadcast a signal on which rescuers can home in. The Emergency transmitter is activated by unscrewing a protective cap and pulling out the antenna fully and it will then broadcast for 48 hours. The transmitter’s signal has a range of about 100 miles. The chronograph sells for $4,700.
