1955 Porsche 356 for the aficionados

This is a collectors dream and could just be the perfect material for a real Porsche fanatic meant straight for his garage. Forget pride, this is your chance to make those envy who believed that a Targa from the early nineties in their possession was just about perfect to bear a retro collectors repute. It belongs to an era where six-cylinders were literally unheard off and those who knew about its ability were baffled by the cost involved. The roots aren’t confirmed in its case but it is believed to be a sibling of the 356 Coupe from 1955, which means that it is one of those astute 356’ models from Porsche. We can keep talking about proving our fanaticism but the upshot is that it would require a whopping 112,000 Euros to have it parked in your garage, meaning you shouldn’t just be a fanatic but a moneyed one at that.

Subaru’s brand new Gran Turismo 5 Controller

Subaru showcased its brand-new and uber-innovative sit-down full motion Gran Turismo 5 Controller at this year’s New York Auto Show. We love the pod for its real-to-life rally racing simulation, complete with a bouncing seat to make the road bumps feel more real. That’s all we could get to know of the controller. If you can’t fit your fat hindquarters behind a real rally car wheel, this STI should help you make up for it.

Pantech Noblesse Luxury Phone

To be perfectly honest with you I love showing off my goodies in front of my friends. I mean who doesn’t like a string of admirers telling you what good taste they have! Anyhow, whether you are an indulgent narcissist or a quietly dignified person, the new Pantech Noblesse Luxury phone is certain to catch your eye. Designed by Hyun Sung Lee, the phone is as yet still a concept, but with a slider housing a gorgeous keypad as that, I really won’t mind waiting for it to hit the stores with all the patience I can muster for the love of me. Since it is a concept we are still free to let our fancies reign supreme and speculate whether the phone’s body could be made in stainless steel, silver, or even platinum or gold. Hmmm… that would be yummy.

Veyron Performance

Now, Bugatti Veyron, the 250MPH scorcher of a supercar, gets some competition, and some very stiff one at that from the new fastest production car on the planet, the SSC Ultimate Aero. And all this on Fleabay, sorry eBay. The Shelby Super Cars’ Aero has all the firepower under it’s hood and it’s beautiful low slung, asphalt hugging, aerodynamic form to bruise some Veyron owners’ ego very badly and actually hustle a Veyron. That is quite a statement to make. But, the very hot looking SSC Aero has a Corvette heart in it, albeit with some major trick modifying which sees the vette’s 6187cc V8 engine pump out a tyre eating 800 BHP. With this kind of raw muscle power, the Aero does a top speed of 400.7 kph and can pull from nought to sixty in three blinks of your eye, yeah it can do it in 3.1 seconds. Quick and fast are understatements. Jet-like would be apt. That is what Brute American super Muscle can do. And as Sir Shelby likes his cars very goodlooking and light, the Aero has a very stylish body built with some extensive use of carbon fiber and titanium and the Aero also has the classy scissor doors, like the Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

Milner Motors AirCar

Yet another flying car is entering the rapidly crowded race. Super Sky Cycle, Moller’s M200G Volantor, Urban Aeronautics’ X-Hawk, PAL-V flying car, and the Terrafugia Transition flying car have already gone into production. The latest flying car concept to be officially unveiled later this month at the prestigious New York International Auto Show, is the Milner Motors AirCar. Developed by Jim Milner, the Aircar is a completely self-contained four door, four seat advanced-composite road-able aircraft (flying car) with foldable main wing in the rear of the vehicle and a canard in the front. It can take you to your destination via air route and when you are done, simply fold up the wings and drive it down the road. Weighing around 3,000 pounds, the Aircar is claimed to cruise at 200 mph for up to 1,000-miles. It gets its power from two rotary engines that drive dual 28-inch pusher ducted fans and a separate 40 horsepower engine. Well, the prototype they are going to display can’t fly. It’s just a showcase to let people know that the flight is feasible. The AirCar is expected to cost approximately $450,000.
