Bling it On: Special Edition Diamond-studded Subaru car

Embellishing the vehicles with gold, diamond and precious stones does help to exhibit your opulence on the roads. We have already introduced you to the list of 12 absolutely incredible bling-bling vehicles and this time, we have a Diamond Edition Subaru car. The car has been festooned with 1173 inlaid precious stones, with a total weight of 19.35 carats. The diamonds alone achieve 12.37 carats of weight. The diamond studded logo, joystick and the key chain are a real treat to the eyes of the bling lovers. I couldn’t make much out of the translated page, but they seem to be offering only 10 such cars to the public, with a delivery time of three months. The original price of the car is 249,800 Yuan and the diamond artwork alone reached over 300,000 Yuan. The special Diamond Edition Subaru car is priced at 560,000 Yuan (approximately $81,930) as a whole.

Private number plate 1 RH auctioned for quarter of a million

If you thought it was only cars that fetched high prices at auctions, think again. I am talking about the elite private number plates market. We have seen the License plate No. 1 going for $14.3 million at Abu Dhabi auction in February of this year. This time, the esteemed number 1 RH was sold for £247,652 (approximately US $366,845) including tax and commission, at an auction of personal number plates held by the UK car registrations issuing authority, DVLA, on 21 November 2008. The plate was bought by Rob Harverson of Surrey, who owns 10 private plates. The sale of 1 RH somehow put every other lot to shame, although a few of them achieved head-turning, high prices. Two of the notable sales were CHR 151S (£13,974) and the AYM 44N (£10,564).

2009 Ford Flex Tuning Car is for Trend-Setters

For those of you who were yearning for an inside tour of the tricked-out 2009 Ford Flex by Kal Koncepts/Air Syndicate Inc. displayed at SEMA 2008 in Las Vegas, here is a treat. This customized version features Sony Xplod; 22 speaker sound system and a perfect tuning set-up complete with two turntables and a mixer in “battle style” set up by DJ Alex G of “Violator All Star DJs” for hip-hop lovers. The exteriors are equally amazing with roof wing by 3D carbon, 22-inch Dub wheels, and the body of the car features mural graphics as a manifestation of its urban hip-hop feel. From MC, to DJ, to B-boxing, to graffiti, the heroes and art forms of this on-the-edge lifestyle are depicted in the mural work. Besides the 2009 Ford Flex Tuning Car a fleet of custom Ford Flex models were displayed at SEMA 2008.

Ferrari celebrates F1 title with Special Edition Scuderia Spider 16M

To commemorate the recent victory in the Formula 1 Constructor’s World Championship 2008, Ferrari has taken wraps off the open=top version of the F430 Scuderia. The beauty, called Scuderia Spider 16M, comes with a removable, customized Ferrari iPod touch 16GB with central dock placed in front of the dashboard. Ferrari claims the Scuderia Spider 16M to be the fastest open-top sports car on the Fiorano circuit they’ve ever built. Weighing 80 kg lighter than the F430 Spider, the Spider 16M has 510 hp 4.3L V8 engine and a power-to-weight ratio of 2.6 kg/hp. It can achieve 0-62 mph in a mere 3.7 seconds and the top speed sits at 195.7 mph. The limited edition coupe comes in two color options, black with gray trim and tricolor livery. Other exclusive features include the silver “limited series” plaque above the air vents, roll-bar with carbon-fiber outer shell, and a high-end audio system.

The holiday season is around the corner and as expected, Neiman Marcus has a range of “Wow Gifts” in their latest Christmas Book for the super rich, including the stunning, limited edition Fighter Motorcycle, which we have covered earlier too. The Mini Cooper you in the picture above is more a work of art than a car. The Mini Cooper S by designer Marco Mehn turns heads with its space-frame style, along with up to 20 hand-applied paints, three finishes and 40,000 Swarovski crystals. The gleaming Mini is an amazing combination of art and automotive enthusiasm. The car is a part of the Heim + Handwerk fair in Munich, where sparkling runabouts will be shown to the public. And, the other vision, Ed Hardy Custom Iron, follows an edgier theme of matte exterior paint and tattoo art, aimed at followers of Ed Hardy’s street and rock ‘n’ roll culture. Diamond and crystal studded mobile phones are not a new thing to us at BornRich, but it’s really good to see Japan’s Softbank Mobile unveiling a line of diamond studded cellphones in the global financial meltdown situation. The Softbank 823SH Tiffany phone comes encrusted with 537 (18.34 carat) diamonds. The glittering phone will retail for 12.98 million yen, which comes out to approximately US $132,140. The display of the phone has been designed by the famed New York jeweler. Japanese actress Aya Ueto (pictured above) is holding Softbank’s sparkling Tiffany mobile phone. Only 10 units have been put into production, so you need to hurry to get one for yourself. Anyway, the 823SH Tiffany looks like the $94,000 diamond-studded cellphone we spotted back in January.
