Mercedes McLaren SLR Stirling Moss is official now!
So, the SLR Roadster 722 S wasn’t the last offering from the joint venture between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren. The latest entrant to the SLR range is the Stirling Moss, a sports car inspired by the Mercedes 300 SLRs driven by racing legend Sterling Moss in the ‘50s. It might be the last SLR from the duo. The Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss enjoys the same supercharged V8 engine that allows the roadster to achieve 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 217mph. Other salient features include a lightweight carbon fiber frame, two air scoops for stability, enhanced aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic disc brakes and stunning interiors. Only 75 units will go into production, with each costing €750,000 (over US $1 million). The limited edition car will be showcased at the Detroit Auto Show.
