Hollister motorcycles redefine the notion of custom bikes

For designer bike lovers who treasure their Harleys but are looking to explore the custom-made territory to add to their rich collection, Hollister’s custom and unique motorcycle offers are custom bikes with the personal tastes of customers, specifically designed and then implemented. Hollister bikes are cult works with handmade components. The latest creation from Volker Sichler is the “Excite,” a limited edition which started in 2003 with one motorcycle for each state in the Federal Republic of Germany, and one for each European country. Each bike takes 6 months to manufacture; the resulting weight is 280 Kg. The sexy beast features an EVOLUTION 100 motor fully polished with 100 cui / 1.600 ccm cylinder stroke volume performing 90 PS, one-piece aluminium frame, with enamel coating which appears to change color lending the bike its unmistakable appearance. The dazzling looks are complemented with technical details such as the “multi-bike controller,” an electronic module integrated out of sight but controlling the important functions centrally – from the press-button ignition to the remote control alarm system. Hollister bikes are priced from $66,251 to $132,549.

Louis Vuitton’s new $265,000 timepiece is a complete in-house creation

Louis Vuitton is one of those few luxury brands that are still growing and innovating despite the recession. The brand is all set to win accolades for making a foray into technical watch-making with the company’s new watch collection that are created completely in-house, from conception to completion at its La Chaux de Fonds factory in Switzerland. Tambour Mystérieuse is the most high-end timepiece from the new collection. The watch has a round dial and is composed of a mechanism that is encapsulated by two sapphire crystal discs, allowing the watch itself to float within the bezel framing it. The collections offers a wide array of customizations including monogramming the second hand with the wearer’s initials, selecting gemstones to place on the platinum, white, yellow or red gold case and a choice of leather straps. The masterpiece comes encased in a miniature Vuitton trunk and takes about a year to craft, which justifies its $265,000 price tag. The collection includes few other styles ranging from $8,224 to $10,612.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 'Pur Sang' up for grabs

The shimmering Veyron pictured above might be some custom creation, but more are the chances that it’s the gorgeous “Pur Sang” edition that was unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show back in 2007. The Bugatti EB Veyron 16.4 Pur Sang is one of the finest examples of high-tech components being meticulously assembled into an automotive work of art. Only five examples were made and surprisingly, all of them were sold within 24 hours of the launch. The two-tone aluminum and carbon theme can be seen throughout the car, which highlights the thorough craftsmanship and attention paid to every single detail. All five Pur Sang machines were reported to be sold out at a price of €1.4 million each, excluding taxes and other charges. Now, if the pictured above is really not a custom creation, then it’s definitely one of the shimmering Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Pur Sang editions, which is up for sale by a dealer in Abu Dhabi. Got the cash?

Designed to be retrofitted into existing spaces, the Room by ODA (Office for Design & Architecture) is a modular dwelling system that helps create you

This internet terminal “Easy Net Space” reminds us of the Globus Artifort Workstation – it rather looks like a bad copy of the earlier, but we thought it deserves a mention for obvious reasons. This one is actually meant for commercial use: for hotels and offices. The pod-shaped internet terminal is actually a nice one for internet cafes and offices (porn at work – anyone?). It features a 19 “TFT (flat) screen with integrated speakers, illuminated keyboard and optical mouse.
